Issuance of a Key
The Office of Facilities Management is responsible and accountable for all keys issued at each Archdiocese of Omaha property. Employees will be issued keys based on the need established by their supervisor.
If an employee requires a key, they need to contact the security department.
Lost of Destroyed Keys
If a key has been lost or is destroyed, it must be reported to the security department immediately so the appropriate action may be taken.
The employee’s department is responsible for all costs associated with any lock(s), which need to be changed.
Duplicate Keys
Employees and/or their departments are not allowed to duplicate a key, which has been issued to them. If the Office of Facilities Management discovers a key has been duplicated, the key will be confiscated from the employee and a new one will not be issued without written authorization from the employee’s agency director.
