Quince Años Retreats |
Fremont, St. Patrick |
Celebrating the gift of life is very important to Hispanic families. Drawing upon an ancient indigenous custom, they celebrate the fifteenth birthday of a young person called a quinceañera, if a girl; quinceañero, if a boy. Celebrating quince años offers a great opportunity for the family, faith companions, and sponsors to reflect on the gift of life and the gift of our Catholic faith.
The preparation focuses on the family and family relationships, the journey of faith of a young person beginning with Baptism and including Confirmation and the Eucharist, the gift of the human person, the value of education, and a commitment to live and celebrate our Catholic faith.
