We know that we all have imperfections and limitations. Regardless of our frailties, all of us have something to give to the Christian community and we bring a variety of gifts to our families. The child with special needs is no different. As the body of Christ, we welcome all and respect inherent human dignity. Although hardships exist, the gifts brought to a family by a child with disabilities are many. The same plentiful gifts are offered to the Catholic parish. It is essential that the Church support children with disabilities and their families, and work for Parents may often need support in raising a child, but the gifts that a child with disabilities brings to a family and a parish community are limitless.
