Sympto-Thermal Method
Irregular cycles and PMS are common issues women deal with every day. The Couple to Couple League (CCL) offers women and married couples the ability to address all of these issues with one fantastic method of family planning without sacrificing effectiveness (99%). CCL is a dynamic family-centered organization devoted to promoting NFP, marriage and family issues in a faith context.
Designed to be simple to use, the method is anything but “simplistic”. CCL, founded in 1971, has incorporated the results of decades of ongoing research and study in developing the sympto-thermal method.
In a small group setting, couples learn to chart the basic symptoms of fertility--mucus, cervix and basal body temperature. During four 2-hour classes scheduled one per month, couples will learn everything they need to know to postpone pregnancy, plan a family and weather menopause.
The Couple to Couple League is a non-profit organization. Because of our strong mission to support the family and non-profit status, our rates are very reasonable. For $75.00 the couple receives class instruction, all materials (manual, charts, pamphlets, audio tape, and digital thermometer), Family Foundations magazine, a one year membership in CCL International and free counseling for as long as they use the method.
A professionally certified teaching couple teaches the classes. Teaching couples have used the method and then received additional training and testing to become certified which takes approximately 12-18 months. Teaching couples are also supported by a full-time staff in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Courses are currently available in Omaha, Bartlett, Norfolk, Lincoln, and Columbus. Home study materials can be obtained in areas where classes are not available. Materials are available in English and Spanish.
