We are open to and respect your complaint.
Both justice and compassion call us to respond to the harm you or someone you know has experienced from a person in a position of trust. We want to listen and address the hurt that may have occurred when pastoral care was exercised improperly.
We recognize that bringing a misconduct complaint to the Archdiocese can be a frightening consideration. We want to make this process as safe as possible. We will proceed at the pace that you set, respecting your need to determine when, how and where you wish to speak.
We have found that the process works best when the person bringing the complaint has the support of a knowledgeable companion, often referred to as an advisor/advocate. An advisor/advocate can accompany you at any stage of the process.
We are sorry for the pain you have experienced.
